The Trade Union of Education in Finland (OAJ) invites educators from across the world to Educa’s 25th anniversary edition and its first international programme in English on 24 and 25 January in Helsinki.
Educa is the leading event in the education and training sector in the Nordic countries. Each year, it brings together 20,000 visitors and 350 exhibitors. In 2020, a new international segment will be introduced, allowing international professionals to learn more about the education ecosystem in Finland, its innovative practices, as well as insights into global trends in education.
Inviting all educators to attend the event, Olli Luukkainen, president of OAJ, stated: “For the first time, this year’s edition of Educa will feature an international programme. It’s a great opportunity to get together with educators, colleagues from across the world, to share our experience and ideas and learn from each other. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Helsinki!”
The international programme is built around the following questions, aiming to provide information and sharing spaces to help answer them:
Participants in the discussion include Finnish Minister of Education Li Andersson, Finnish Minister of Science and Culture Hanna Kosonen, President of the Trade Union of Education in Finland Olli Luukkainen, as well as Director General of the Finnish National Agency for Education Olli-Pekka Heinonen.
The international programme is implemented in co-operation with the Trade Union of Education in Finland, the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, the Finnish National Agency for Education and Messukeskus.
Participants in Educa’s international programme are offered the possibility to visit an educational institute before the fair in co-operation with the City of Helsinki.
