The UNESCO Netexplo 2021 Forum will be held online at http://fr.unesco.org/netexplo. The Forum consists of two parts: The 2021 Innovation Forum and the Linking Cities Forum.

The Innovation Forum will showcase 10 groundbreaking digital innovations that can have a profound and lasting impact on the digital society of today and tomorrow. These innovations are identified each year through the international network of the Netexplo Observatory, made up of leading universities in the fields of technology and design. The Innovation Forum will highlight some of the world's most promising innovators whose innovations have influenced the development of our societies through new forms of education, communication, information, solidarity, and management.

This edition of the Forum will also continue to explore and share the best practices that are transforming cities around the world: more inclusive, sustainable and connected, the Linking Cities of today and tomorrow require decision-makers to address the most pressing needs of their citizens. These range from security to financing models, from infrastructure to attractiveness. There are as many solutions as there are cultures and territories. And all are sources of inspiration. The event aims to help city decision-makers to decode and seize the opportunities for transforming cities to improve the lives of women and men around the world.
