UNESCO and its partners are launching the training of the first cohort of practitioners of the "Pan-African initiative for the digital transformation of Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and skills development systems in Africa". As the first cohort of leaders, 7 African French-speaking and English-speaking countries will take part in the inaugural lesson.
The overall objective of the initiative is to create an ecosystem that will enable the digital transformation of TVET and skills development systems in Africa. This Pan African initiative is a collaboration within the work plan of the CESA TVET Cluster institutionalized by African Union with UNESCO as co-lead. It will contribute to the ultimate goal of the initiative as encapsulated in African Union’s aspiration of “A prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development.”
The TVET practitioners (teacher trainers, teacher coordinators, teacher instructors, teachers…) in African countries, trained should be able to:
