With the support of the Permanent Delegation of Spain to UNESCO and the Observatorio Español del Racismo y la Xenofobia, of the Secretary of State of Migrations, the Social and Human Sciences Sector will organize a special edition of the Master Class Series against Racism and Discriminations on 19 March from 12:15pm to 3pm (CET) at the  IES Professor Dominguez Ortiz School in Guadalajara, Spain.  On this occasion, the Master Class will be led by Professor Eva Martínez Ambite who will discuss a number of issues related to racism and discriminations, including discrimination against LGBT groups, among young people.

The Master Class seeks to enable young women and men to know and understand the causes of racism and discrimination in a dynamic and interactive way and to identify racist and discriminatory practices or behaviors and discourses in their immediate contexts. It aims to provide the participants with knowledge and tools to become agents of change within their communities, schools and families.

The Series is part of the anti-racism roadmap that UNESCO is currently developing, which includes a scanning project to strengthen institutional and legal frameworks against racism and discriminations, affirmative actions in public and private sectors, and anti-biases training.
