Events

The meeting will assess progress for education over the last 18 months, including a presentation by UNESCO's Institute for Statistics (UIS) and the Global Education Monitoring Report (GEMR) on the state of SDG 4 in the world.   

The meeting will:

• Discuss common challenges and lessons learned
• Shed light on shortcomings requiring urgent policy attention
• Highlight innovative solutions in addressing some of the most critical challenges related to the COVID-19 recovery 
• Present benchmarking tools and processes

The meeting will also provide the opportunity to deliberate on the upcoming Global Education Meeting. It will outline the way forward for SDG-Education 2030 global coordination by featuring a presentation of highlights of the multi-stakeholder consultation process on the reform of the Global Cooperation Mechanism, in view of its endorsement at the 2021 Global Education Meeting.
