We want to hear from you!

The adoption of the Incheon Declaration at the World Education Forum in May 2015 and the Education 2030 Framework for Action in November 2015 signalled the crucial need for governments, the international community and other key partners to work together towards “ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” by 2030.

More than four years after the adoption of the agenda, it is time to review the region’s five-year progress (2015-2020) on SDG4. The exercise will focus on overall progress (qualitative and quantitative) at the regional and sub-regional levels, while countries are highly encouraged to participate in and contribute to the review exercise by sharing good practices and lessons learned on SDG4 (Education 2030) implementation.

What is this call for?
UNESCO Bangkok and UNICEF (East Asia and Pacific Regional Office and Regional Office for South Asia), as co-chairs of the RTWG-Education 2030+, are leading this review exercise and will gather case studies from across the Asia-Pacific on good practices on SDG4 (Education 2030) implementation. These case studies should illustrate policies, programmes and projects which have contributed towards achievement of one or more of the 10 targets of SDG4.

The selected case studies will be compiled in a database in the SDG4 regional portal as a major resource reference for countries and partners. A limited number of these cases will also be included in the final 5PR report, which will be officially published later this year. The authors of selected cases will also be invited to participate in the Second Asia Pacific Regional Education Ministers Conference (APREMC-II) in August 2020 in Jomtien, Thailand.

Who can participate?
Government and private-sector institutions, international organizations, development agencies, research organizations, community based organizations (CBOs), and non-government organizations (NGOs).

How to submit your case studies?
Please review the  Concept Note on Call for Submission of Case Studies and complete the  Submission Template to submit your case study(ies) online. After the submission, the applicant will receive an email notification and a copy of the case study(ies) submitted.

The deadline for case studies is 30 April 2020.
