The Regional webinar n°7 "Learning from the beginning of life. Importance of early childhood education in the context of COVID 19", will provide a space to present some of the initiatives taken in the region to ensure continuity of learning for young children in confinement and to discuss the measures needed to ensure the safe reopening of Early Childhood Education services and pre-schools.

This seventh web seminar will be facilitated by UNICEF and the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), and is jointly organized by the Regional Education Group for Latin America and the Caribbean - Risk Management, Disasters and Migration and the Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean, co-led by UNICEF and Save the Children. The event will be held in Spanish through the Zoom platform and will feature presentations by expert panelists, as well as by the facilitating organizations.

The online event is aimed at professionals from the Ministries of Education and other relevant entities working in the educational response and care of children and families in early childhood, including key actors in the reopening of centers, schools and the humanitarian and educational sector in general.

Objectives:
- To present and discuss strategies for ensuring the continuation of learning for young children when early childhood education services are closed, including preschools
- Discuss principles for safe re-opening of early childhood education services, including preschools.
- Through discussions, share the challenges of early childhood care and education in times of COVID19
