The SDG Challenge: Advancing Global Citizenship Education through the Power of Film

Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) and SIMA Studios are launching the first collaborative online course! 

SIMA Studios is dedicated to empowering learners to acquire the knowledge, attitudes and skills to become proactive contributors to a better world. In particular, recognizing the power of film in transforming learners’ perspectives on global issues, SIMA Studios has provided creative visual storytelling resources on the SDGs and global citizenship for educators worldwide. 

 

This course aims to advance Global Citizenship Education through the power of film. 

In this course, participants will be taking a closer look at documentary films to explore the impact of visual storytelling to communicate ideas and inspire change.

And, the instructor will be guiding participants through activities that will make it seamless to integrate film into their lessons. 

By the end of this course, participants will be encouraged to unlock the power of film to take their students beyond school walls, inspiring them to be media and information literate global citizens and active contributors to a more equitable and sustainable world.
