Upcoming webinar ‘Eco-friendly, green learning cities in the post-corona era’

On Wednesday, 26 August 2020, UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) member city Osan (Republic of Korea) will host a webinar, entitled ‘Eco-friendly, green learning cities in the post-corona era’. The webinar is organized by the Korean Association of Lifelong Learning Cities and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO in cooperation with the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL). Representatives from other Korean cities in the network will attend the event, while UNESCO GNLC representatives from around the world are invited to join virtually. 

 

The webinar will explore how lifelong learning can contribute to promoting eco-friendly practices in learning cities around the world during and after the current COVID-19 pandemic. Mayors of UNESCO learning cities including Osan, Cork (Ireland), Balanga (Philippines), Chiang Rai (Thailand), Kashan (Islamic Republic of Iran), Jincheon (Republic of Korea) and Villa María (Argentina) will present their experiences alongside topical presentations by UIL Director David Atchoarena and a representative of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
