Following the first successful Training of Trainers (ToT), which took place in October 2017, the UNESCO Office in Beirut organizes a second two-day Training of Trainers on youth advocacy and campaigning for reducing youth unemployment in Lebanon, from 19 to 20 March 2018.
The workshop is based on a special Toolkit developed for this purpose, and held in the context of UNESCO’s NET-MED Youth project (EU funding), and in collaboration with Startline Foundation.
The Toolkit seeks to promote youth participation in public policy-making by providing tools for ways to gain more influence and advocate for matters in the public arena – especially on issues such as youth employment and skills development. It specifically aims to build capacities of youth-led and youth-targeted NGOs in advocacy and campaigning for the rights and interests of different groups of youth, especially vulnerable youth, on youth unemployment in Lebanon.
The training targets young women and men between the ages of 18 and 32, who are active in civil society or at the university, or active member in an NGO.
