Addressing antisemitism, intolerance and discrimination through education: regional conference for policymakers, teacher trainers and educators

The conference organized by UNESCO and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is designed to enhance the efforts of policymakers and educators from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan to address anti-Semitism and all forms of intolerance and discrimination.

 

The conference will examine various policy measures government officials can take, offer a comprehensive framework for teacher and school director training, as well as practical materials and strategies which teachers can use to prevent, respond to and teach about antisemitism.

 

This conference is part of a series of sub-regional and national trainings generously funded by the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and through ODIHR’s Words into Action to Address Intolerance project with funding from the Government of Canada, the Federal Republic of Germany, the United States of America as well as other OSCE participating States.

 

Participation to this conference is by invitation only.
