The COVID-19 crisis reminds us today that, more than ever, we must ensure that our societies are inclusive and sustainable so that no one is left behind. In the face of growing inequalities, racism, violence and intolerance, UNESCO is organizing a Master Class for young women and young men between 14 and 18 years of age enrolled in secondary education.
This first special edition of the Master Class, developed in partnership with the Musée de l'Homme, is dedicated to learning fundamental knowledge about the complexities that underlie the construction of prejudice and the phenomena of racism and discrimination, and encourages collaborative work to find adequate means to combat racism and discrimination.
During these virtual editions of the Master Class, the focus will be on discrimination linked to the COVID-19 crisis. Participants will be invited to take part in a dialogue with a professor who is an expert on racism and discrimination, as well as with an engaged artist. The session will end with the drawing up of concrete commitments to combat racism and discrimination on a daily basis.
