How can education foster respect for everyone, help build a sense of belonging to a common humanity and form responsible and active global citizens? With this imperative in mind, UNESCO and the Asia Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), in conjunction with the Chilean Observatory of Educational Policy (OPECH), are holding the Regional Meeting for Latin America and the Caribbean of the Global Citizenship Education Network in Santiago de Chile.

The event takes place on October 23 and 24, 2017 in the Mercure Hotel in Santiago de Chile, where approximately 45 representatives from civil society organizations, academic and research institutes will participate, as well as regional authorities who work on related issues.
