The virtual briefing “Education Disrupted, Education Transformed” is co-organized by UNESCO and the Group of Group of Friends for Education and Lifelong Learning. It aims to engage member states with the major education stakeholders as convened by UNESCO on the education response to COVID-19 that will be held on 30 June 2020, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The discussion will bring together voices of Member states, multilateral institutions, civil society leaders, teachers, private sector and youth advocates. It will highlight lessons learned from COVID-19 crisis, from breakthroughs in new and alternative learning delivery models to strategies deployed to reach the most disadvantaged, as well as recommendations how to make education systems more resilient and inclusive. Participants will share views on the key role of partnerships to address connectivity divides, build the capacity of the education workforce and develop inclusive remote learning solutions.
