From 21 July 2020 to 29 July 2020, the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL), in cooperation with DVV International and the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE), will hold regional webinars on Enhancing national capacities for monitoring adult learning and education to support the data collection process for the upcoming fifth Global Report on Adult Learning and Education (GRALE).

The webinars will provide technical guidance to member states for further enhancing the quality and relevance of the information provided, including regarding citizenship education, the thematic focus of GRALE V which will be launched at the seventh International Conference on Adult Education (CONFINTEA VII) in Morocco in June 2022. The webinars are primarily aimed at the official focal points designated to coordinate the national responses to the GRALE V survey but they are also open to interested ALE stakeholders.

Published every three years, GRALE monitors the progress of Member States against the Belém Framework for Action and the Recommendation on Adult Learning and Education, by collecting information through the GRALE survey, and providing an overview of emerging trends and challenges in the field of adult learning and education.
