Register for Media and Information Literacy Week in Central Asia

UNESCO Almaty will support capacity building initiatives of Central Asian institutions within Global Media and Information Literacy week.
Media and Information Literacy can help to advance various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as SDGs 11, 16 and 17, and targets 4.7, 4.c and 5.b, by raising citizens’ critical awareness of information shared and received, how they communicate, their fundamental freedoms and critical thinking that makes societies democratic, peaceful, inclusive, socially cohesive, just, safe and resilient.
Media and Information Literacy initiatives commemorates the Global MIL Week celebration led by UNESCO and its partners 26-31 October 2020.
